"If You Can Pour It, We Can Pump It" Our Company History           Straeffer Pump and Supply has been in the pump supply and service business for over thirty-seven years and has built a solid reputation throughout Kentucky, Indiana, and Southern Illinois    Straeffer Sales & Service, Inc. was established in 1967 as an Industrial Sales House specializing in pumps, and water and sewage treating systems. In 1990, Straeffer Pump & Supply was established specializing in municipal sales. Today we are known as Straeffer Pump & Supply, Inc. as we merged the two companies in 1998.    The founder Charles Straeffer, was employed by Campbell & Rickman-Petroleum Consultants as Field Supervisor. During this period (1952-1967) he was responsible for the design and installation of water treatment and pumping plants for high pressure injection into underground oil producing reservoirs. Campbell & Rickman dissolved their partnership in 1967.    Following World War II, he was employed by Diehl Pump & Supply Company, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky and Evansville, Indiana. He held positions of Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, and Vice President. Thus, he has had vast experience (over 40 years) in pumping equipment, piping systems, and controls. Charlie is now retired and stops in from time to time to see how we are doing.    Bill Straeffer is the President of the company and has been employed with us since 1976, and spends the majority of time in the sales area with the Company. Bill handles our OEM accounts and bids wastewater and industrial projects.
